Verbena Rigida is a beautiful and easy-to-grow perennial that produces clusters of fragrant, brightly colored flowers in summer and fall. The flowers are held on upright stems above a basal clump of dark green leaves.

• Verbena Rigida is a great choice for borders, containers, and mass plantings. It is also deer-resistant. Like bonariensis it is also a favourite with bees and butterlies.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
