This is an upright and columnar plant when young that broadens with age. Dense foliage of narrow green leaves. Can be trimmed to maintain shape. It prefers well drained soil.

This conifer is happy growing both in a container as well as the open border. For growing in a container we recommend that you use John Innes No 3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. For planting in the open border it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. Plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
