The Tillandsia bandensis has numerous slender leaves that have a slight wave and point towards different directions. Since the leaves do not follow a singular direction, they tend to grow against each other, giving the plant a rather messy appearance. Then as the plant matures, its inflorescences start to emerge and tower over the leaves. The inflorescence consists of a very slender spike and dainty little flowers that range in color from indigo to various shades of blue. The whole piece has a very soft color scheme, giving the area it is placed in a much calmer ambiance making people feel more at ease.
