‘Honeysong Purple’ is a Stokesia like no other: Large 4″ royal-purple flowers with a hint of red in the center contrast with the bright white stamens. The blooms persist from early summer to mid-fall above the deep green, mounding foliage. They are highly attractive to butterflies.
‘Honeysong Purple’ is a cultivated variety of Stokesia laevis, which is native to the southeastern United States. More commonly called “Stoke’s aster,” its heat-tolerance makes it a great choice for gardens in southern climates.
