In early 2020, we hit the road, looking for artisanal weavers that could supply us with beautiful baskets, directly.

We found Mrs Queen Cele in rural KZN, and worked over numerous months to perfect this second new design, and thought to give it a fun contemporary name that fit with its beautiful simple but eye-catching design.

So, we named the baskets ShiShi because it feels sleek and romantic rolling off the tongue and once we pitched the name to our weaver she instantly loved it.

We hope you enjoy these wonderful creations. Each one is hand-crafted and perfectly imperfect! Hence the range of sizes 🙂
