The Sarracenia pitcher plant, also known as the Trumpet pitcher plant, is a carnivorous plant which captures and digests bugs.

Sarracenia pitcher plants go dormant in winter, and require colder temperatures and lower light conditions for several months of the year. It may lose leaves, which is nothing to worry about.
