Sarracenia ‘Bug Bat’ is a striking new color variation for a hardy pitcher plant. The upright pitchers start green at the base and turn into a blush burgundy near the top and they have attractive white dots on the back of each hood. The pitchers darken to deep red with increased sun. If grown as a houseplant, keep evenly moist in a tray of distilled water. Otherwise, plant in an outdoor garden in a location that stays slightly moist.
