Small is beautiful! The Sand Rose (Anacampseros rufescens) is an elegant mini succulent native to South Africa, growing little more than 4 inches (10 cm). The thick leaves ofthe Sand Rose plantspiral out, and their undersides are coloured a rare purple when healthy or red if stressed.

Fun Fact

When in bloom, the Sand Rose succulent sends up stems that feature singular flowers at the end. The flowers are pink to rose-purple in colour!
