Rarely available in shops, but easy to grow, pink currants are highly desirable for decorating desserts or making summer puddings, jams & jellies. Gloire de Sablon is a very old French variety producing beautiful pink currants that are soft, translucent, have a delighful fragrance and are bursting with a sweet juicy flavour. These robust plants have good disease & pest resistance and produce heavy crops ideal if you want a plant that requires little care.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
