Rhaphidophora pertusa is a tropical climbing houseplant with large, deeply lobed leaves that develop irregular holes. This gives it a unique look, often mistaken for Monstera species. Unlike Rhaphidophora tetrasperma, which has smaller, neater splits, R. pertusa forms larger, uneven perforations as it matures. In its natural habitat, it climbs trees, so it benefits from support when.

Native to: This beauty comes from the tropical rainforests of Southeast Asia, especially places like Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia. It loves the humid, dense forests there.

Water: Give your Rhaphidophora puberula a good drink, but let the top 2-3 cm of soil dry out between waterings. Make sure your pot has great drainage to keep those roots happy and avoid waterlogging. Use lukewarm water to keep from shocking the plant.

Light: This plant loves bright, indirect light to keep its variegation vibrant. Too much direct sun can scorch the leaves, and too little can fade the colors. An east or north-facing window is perfect, or place it a few feet away from a south or west-facing window with some filtered light.

Humidity: Rhaphidophora puberula thrives in high humidity between 60% and 80%. A humidifier or a pebble tray with water can help in drier indoor spaces. It also loves terrariums, where you can easily maintain the right humidity.

Temperature: Keep this plant in a cozy spot with temperatures between 18C and 26C. It doesnt like the cold, so avoid letting it drop below 15C. A warm, stable environment will keep it growing strong and looking vibrant.
