Portulacaria afra f. macrophylla

This attractive succulent shrub has larger round green leaves. It flowers from late winter till spring small star-shaped pink/white flowers. This plant known as Giant Elephant’s food. It does well with little to no irrigation in coastal gardens. Inland and low desert gardeners should site this plant with some afternoon shade and supplementally water it during the hottest summer months. As the name implies, they grow large, up to 6ft. tall, in a relatively short period of time. Easy to grow and adaptable.
