Polystichum polyblepharum ‘Jade’ is a clump-forming fern that is known for its dark green, glossy fronds. The fronds are bipinnate, meaning that they are divided into two sets of pinnae, or leaflets. The pinnae are lance-shaped and have a slightly wavy margin.

• Polystichum polyblepharum ‘Jade’ is a relatively easy plant to grow. It prefers partial to full shade and moist, well-drained soil. It is tolerant of drought and poor soil. The plant is also deer-resistant.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
