Pieris is a wonderful evergreen shrub with brightly coloured new foliage. Best grown in sun or partial shade in a moist yet well drained acidic soil. This variety has deep burgundy red new growth which matures to green foliage and rose coloured flowers in spring.

• When planting this shrub in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If suitable for containers then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
