Although producing small creamy-white flowers this plant is primarily grown for its gorgeous foliage. The new leaves emerge in spring bright red and then mature to a glossy green, but the bright red young foliage remains well into early summer and much longer than other varieties.

Spring flowering. Evergreen. Will grow in sun or semi-shade in most garden soils. 2m x 2m (6′ x 6′).
