Introducing Phlomis russeliana, also known as Turkish Sage. This herbaceous perennial is a unique addition to any garden with its slow, creeping root stock and hairy, grey-green leaves. From late spring through summer, upright flower spikes emerge, topped with whorls of soft yellow flowers. Not only do these flowers add a pop of color to your garden, but they also attract pollinators and insects. Leave the flower heads for winter interest and a source of shelter for insects.
This plant is easily maintained at a height of 50cm, with flowering reaching up to 90cm. Its green-grey leaves and yellow/cream flowers make for a stunning display. Phlomis russeliana thrives in well-drained, sandy, loam, or chalk soil and prefers a full sun position. Once established, it is fully hardy and can withstand temperatures as low as -15 degrees (H6). Choose from a 9cm pot or 2 Litre pot when ordering.
