Penstemon Polaris Red is a beautiful, long-blooming perennial that is known for its bright red flowers. The flowers are trumpet-shaped and bloom from late spring to early fall. The plant can grow up to 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide.

• Penstemon Polaris Red is a relatively easy plant to grow. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. It is drought-tolerant once established, but does appreciate regular watering during hot, dry weather.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
