Pearl Acacia is a welcome sight during the late winter and early spring flowering season with its brilliant yellow, small, fragrant flowers. Its a wonderful plant for pots since it starts blooming at 3 tall and can be maintained as a shrub or trained into a small tree. And, even when out of bloom, the attractive silver-gray foliage of this Australian native makes a dramatic statement. Acacias need a chill period, below 60F, during the fall and early winter to induce flowering.
