Papaver nudicaule Colibr CICLAMINO is a breathtaking Iceland Poppy variety bred in Italy specifically for the cut flower market. Known as the queen of all poppies, this selection stands out with its delicate cyclamen-pink blooms that are larger and more striking than typical Iceland Poppies. Despite producing fewer stems per plant, each bloom is exceptionally showy, making Colibr CICLAMINO one of the most desirable poppies for bouquets and garden displays.
Reaching 50 cm in height, plants are ideal for beds, borders, and rock gardens. They thrive in full sun and well-drained, sandy soil rich in calcium and phosphorus. Sow indoors from January to April or outdoors from March to May or August to October. Seeds germinate at 1518 C within 24 weeks. Flowering begins about 100120 days from sowing and continues from May through July.
Plant Details:
For use as a cut flower, harvest when buds are just beginning to open (split bud stage). To extend vase life (57 days), dip stem ends in boiling water for 710 seconds immediately after harvesting. With a germination rate of around 80%, this is a reliable and rewarding poppy for gardeners and florists alike.
