Miscanthus sacchariflorus is a clump-forming plant with strap-like leaves produced on stems that resemble those of a bamboo. The silvery mauve-brown flowers are only produced in milder areas.

Summer flowering. Will grow in sun or semi-shade in most garden soils. Height & spread: 270cm x 90cm (9′ x 3′).
