Mentha requienii is a fine, mat forming, perennial ground cover that features tight green, aromatic foliage and tiny lavender flowers in summer. Also known as Corsican Mint, it spreads by fine thread-like stems and stays very flat to the ground. Its fragrance when crushed or bruised is exceptional!

Mentha requienii prefers partial shade to sun and rich, light, moist, well-drained soil. It is best in partial shade in warmer zones. It resents heat and humidity and does not tolerate dry soils, but will self-sow in favorable conditions. Corsican Mint tolerates moderate foot traffic and works well between stepping stones. Space on 6″ centers.
