Lonicera nitida ‘Baggesen’s Gold’ is an evergreen, bushy shrub with arching stems covered with small bright yellow leaves. Also known as Box-leaf Honeysuckle, it has a nice mounding habit that can be pruned to maintain a smaller size or used as hedge. The summer foliage will stay more chartreuse in shade, but lightens to silvery yellow in sun. Cold weather may cause it to have an attractive purple cast. Lonicera ‘Baggesen’s Gold’ has insignificant white flowers in late spring or early summer followed by purple berries in fall. A nice substitute for Boxwood.

Lonicera nitida ‘Baggesen’s Gold’ takes sun to partial shade, but prefers some shade as leaves can burn in strong sunlight. Prefers moist, well-drained soil.
