Lobelia cardinalis ‘Queen Victoria’ is a popular perennial plant that is known for its bright scarlet flowers. It is a member of the Campanulaceae family and is native to North America. The plant grows to be about 3 feet tall and 2 feet wide and has lance-shaped, dark green leaves. The flowers are borne in spikes and bloom from midsummer to early autumn. It is a relatively easy plant to grow. It prefers full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil.

Planting : When planting herbaceous perennials in the open ground we recommend planting with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality tree and shrub compost or peat free compost. If planting in a container we recommend a good quality multi purpose with added John Innes or peat free compost.
