Kniphofia uvaria ‘Border Ballet’ produces tall spikes of red, pink, yellow, orange, or creamy pastel tubular blooms over stiff sword-like foliage. The bold, arching clumps of long, narrow, blue-green leaves are semi-evergreen. Kniphofia ‘Border Ballet’ is a hybrid that forms more compact clumps than the species. It starts blooming in early to midsummer and may continue to September. Kniphofia, or Red Hot Poker, is also sometimes known as Tritoma or Torch Lily.

Kniphofia uvaria ‘Border Ballet’ prefers full sun and average, well-drained, but not overly dry soil. Good drainage is essential in winter.
