Juniper bonsai like to be outside in a bright location. Place them somewhere they can receive at least four hours of sunlight a day,with a little afternoon shade. While theyll be happy outdoors year-round in most locations, youll want to protect them or bring them to a cold spot indoors if temperatures frequently drop below -10C.

Juniper bonsais should not be overwatered. As with other bonsai trees, only water the plant when the soil is almost dry. A bonsais soil should never be fully dry.
