Ilex Dark Green 40cm ball

Features:

• A glossy evergreen plant with small deep green leaves. It has been trained into a ball which you can trim to maintain at the same size or allow to grow into a larger ball. Any trimming is best done in late April and again in late August. It will grow in a range of acidic soils except waterlogged and thrives in both sun and shade. This plant makes a great alternative for those who have been affected by the Box caterpillar.
• This plant can be kept clipped to the size that it is now or you can allow to grow into a bigger ball.
• Here at Polhill we recommend that you use a good quality compost mixed with your garden soil when planting in the ground. If going into containers then a good multipurpose compost or John Innes compost is recommended
