Majestic white panicles in midsummer are held upright amid textured “oak” leaves that blush russet and purple in fall. Aging blooms age to a complex mix of whites, greens, pinks, purples, and brownsvery rich color and texture. Blooms on old wood. Deciduous, its interesting exfoliating bark becomes apparent in winter. Sun-tolerant, like most oak Leaf Hydrangeas, requires less water than other types.
