Hoya, also sometimes referred to as Wax Plants, Wax Vines, or Wax Flowers, are succulent, flowering plants that make up a genus of roughly 500 species. Most are native to several countries of Asia such as the Philippines, India, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Polynesia, New Guinea, and many species are also found in Australia.

While most Hoya are sold and grown in soil (terrestrial) they usually grow as Epiphytes in the wild. They love to climb and do well on trellises, in hanging baskets, or when allowed to scale a wall.

Provide lots of bright light, and maintain a moderately moist soil level.
