Hibiscus Blue Bird is a medium sized upright deciduous shrub with dark green foliage. The striking side of this plant is the violet-blue flowers with a maroon centre which can be about 8cm across in late summer early autumn.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
