An excellent very hardy, yellow fruiting mid-season variety. Hinnonmaki Yellow has a spreading growth habit and may require support in maturity. It is a heavy cropper of medium sized, greenish-yellow berries with a unique aromatic flavour (and a hint of apricot according to experts!) Specifically bred in Finland for hardiness and disease resistance, it is particularly resistant to powdery mildew. The fruit is sweet enough to be eaten straight from the bush and is delicious in desserts and preserves. Eventual height: 1.2m (4ft). Eventual spread: 1m (5ft). Cropping season: mid July. Self fertile.
