Geogenanthus is a family made up of 3 species,G. Ciliatus, G. rhizanthus,andG. poepigii. All Geogenanthus are native to Amazonia and have been found on the ground floor of primary rainforests, including Peru and western Brasil.

They are pet safe, and relatively easy to maintain given that they have adequate watering and humidity.
