The profusion of fragrant, bright yellow flowers in spring are a real treat for early season bumblebees and other native pollinators.‘Margarita’ blooms on old growth, so cut it back just after blooming if desired. Itsevergreen leaves turn bronze in winter.
Gelsimium‘Margarita’ Carolina Jasmine is reliably hardy in zone 7 and warmer, and cansometimes be overwintered in zone 6. It prefers moist, rich, well-draining soil, but will tolerate poor soil.
