An evergreen, shrubby ground cover with bright to dark green shiny rounded leaves. ‘Cascade Sunrise’ has captivating new spring foliage in shades of orange and red with white, urn-shaped flower clusters; followed in summer by blue-black fruit which the birds will thank you for providing them with as a food source. Salal can be thicket-forming in amenable conditions–the stems will recline and root as the plant spreads, therefore, give it lots of room or plan ways to keep it in check.
