The Euphorbia plant is a hardy and eye-catching shrub, best known for its clusters of small flowers surrounded by vibrant red, pink, or white bracts. Its spiky stems and drought-tolerant nature make it perfect for sunny gardens and low-maintenance landscapes.
Growing Style – Euphorbia grows well in poly bags, pots, or directly in garden beds. It has a naturally bushy, upright shape and is excellent for borders, rock gardens, or sunny balconies. It can also be used as a low hedge in dry areas.
Watering – Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry out between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as the plant is highly drought-tolerant and excess moisture can cause root rot. Ideal for dry, well-drained spots.
Fertilizing –Feed the plant every 46 weeks using a balanced fertilizer during the active growing season. You can also apply compost or diluted cow dung occasionally for healthy flowering.
Light & Temperature – Euphorbia loves full sun and needs at least 56 hours of direct sunlight daily for vibrant growth and blooming. It thrives in Sri Lankas warm, dry, and tropical conditions.
