While juvenile shrubs have many branches with bright green stem, this mature specimen has grown a thick woody base, with sparse stems branching only at the top.
Cylindrical, spineless branches make up this succulent shrub.Euphorbia leucodendron(Euphorbia alluaudii) is endemic to Madagascar, and produces the tiniest of green leaves at the tips of its stems. These little leaves quickly fall off, and their stipules leave behind small brown scales.
Water when soil is dry 100%. Water lightly (if at all) during winter months.
Full sun.
If not repotting then you can use a well-balanced cactus feed every month from April – September.
Repot this plant every two years to replenish the soil and to allow extra room for the roots to spread out. Use a well-draining and gritty cactus compost.
