Eryngium planum ‘Blue Hobbit’ is a dwarf cultivar of sea holly with steely blue flowers. It is a compact plant that grows to about 12 inches tall and wide. The flowers are produced in summer and are held on stiff stems. The leaves are deeply lobed and have a silvery-blue color.
Height: 30x 30cm
Planting : When planting herbaceous perennials in the open ground we recommend planting with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality tree and shrub compost or peat free compost. If planting in a container we recommend a good quality multi purpose with added John Innes or peat free compost.

Mature height 30cm spread 60cm. Loved by bees and butterflies. We showcased this Eryngium in our very first display, over a decade ago, at the RHS Hampton Court Flower Show. They were by far our most popular plant at that show and we have been growing them ever since.
