Terrestrial orchid from Japan and cooler regions of northeastern Asia. The 12 to 18-inch inflorescences have flowers in shades of golden-yellow to bronzed-orange with dramatic magenta and gold-veined labellum. Blooms in late spring to early summer. Situate in a cool moist location and amend with organic matter.
