The botanical name of this succulent is *Echeveria setosa*. The synonym *Echeveria setosa var. ciliata* is also frequently used. In German, it is known as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus *Echeveria*, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to Mexico.

Echeveria setosa is green with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is orange and tubular. It forms during the flowering period from March to May. You will receive a plant in an 8.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 6cm. The achievable growth height is 10cm to 25cm.
Caring for Echeveria setosa is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria setosa does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates less water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria setosa can spend the summer outdoors after gradually acclimating it to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria setosa can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
