The botanical name of this succulent is *Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’*. Synonyms include *Echeveria ‘Metallica’* or *Echeveria ‘Purple Prince’*. In German, it is known as *Echeverie*. The succulent belongs to the genus *Echeveria*, which is part of the Crassulaceae family.

Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’ is purple to green with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is coral-colored, tubular, and arranged in clusters. It forms during the flowering period in summer. You will receive a plant in a 6cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 8cm. The maximum height it can reach is 20cm.
Caring for the Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’ is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. The Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’ does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is possible once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’ can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria ‘Purple Pearl’ can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
