The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria `Madiba. In German, it is known as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is part of the Crassulaceae family. It is a hybrid of Paco Serrano from Spain with a known parent: Echeveria lilacina, which originates from Mexico.

Echeveria ‘Madiba’ is pink, rose and green with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is pink to orange, bell-shaped and arranged in clusters. It blooms during the spring and summer. You will receive a plant in a 10.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 12cm. The maximum height it can reach is 20cm.
Caring for the Echeveria ‘Madiba’ is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria ‘Madiba’ does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria ‘Madiba’ can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria ‘Madiba’ can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
