The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria lilacina. It is known in German as Echeverie. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family. This succulent is native to Mexico.
Echeveria lilacina is green and purple with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is apricot-colored and bell-shaped. It develops during the flowering period from March to June. You will receive a plant in a 12cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of approximately 12cm. The achievable growth height is 20cm to 30cm.
Caring for the Echeveria lilacina is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria lilacina does not tolerate waterlogging, so good drainage should be ensured and the substrate should be allowed to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing can be done once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria lilacina can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilizing stops and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by seeds, but also by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria lilacina can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
Please note: Sizes, shapes and ages may vary for plants, as each one is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
