The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria ‘Echoc’. It is known as Echeveria in German. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family.

It is a hybrid of Echeveria shaviana and Echeveria affinis. Echeveria ‘Black Prince’ is green to black with a rosette-shaped growth form. The flower is dark to salmon red and tubular. It forms during the flowering period from December to February. You will receive a plant in a 10.5cm pot, with a total height of pot and plant of about 8cm. The achievable growth height is 20cm.
Caring for the Echeveria ‘Echoc’ is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria ‘Echoc’ does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is necessary once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria ‘Echoc’ can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sunlight. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilization is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeveria ‘Black Prince’ can be poisonous; we cannot guarantee its compatibility with animals.
