The botanical name of this succulent is Echeveria ‘Mars’. It is known as Echeveria in German. The succulent belongs to the genus Echeveria, which is classified in the Crassulaceae family.

It is a hybrid of the Galaxy series by B. Goody (Great Britain). Echeveria ‘Mars’ is green and red with a rosette-shaped growth habit. The flower is yellow, bell-shaped and arranged far above the rosette. It forms during the flowering period from February to April. You will receive a plant in a pot size of 8cm, with a total height of pot and plant of about 12cm. The achievable growth height of the plant itself is 15cm to 25cm.
Caring for the Echeveria ‘Mars’ is relatively easy. A mixture of cactus and succulent soil is suitable as a substrate. Echeveria ‘Mars’ does not tolerate waterlogging, so you should ensure good drainage and allow the substrate to dry out before watering again. Generally, this succulent tolerates too little water rather than too much. Fertilizing is possible once a month, or every four weeks.
This succulent’s light requirement is met in a sunny location. This means a south-facing window with direct sunlight is best. The optimal temperature is between 20C and 30C. Echeveria ‘Mars’ can spend the summer outdoors after being gradually acclimated to direct sun. In winter, the temperature should be around 10C. Furthermore, fertilizing is stopped and watering is reduced. However, this succulent is not suitable for the garden.
This succulent can be propagated by leaf and stem cuttings. Echeverias are generally non-toxic, but we cannot guarantee their suitability for animals.

Please note: Sizes, shapes and ages may vary for plants, as each one is unique. This is especially true in winter or when availability is low. The color also varies depending on the season.
