Dryopteris erythrosora grows in clumps of up to 2 feet tall and wide. The fronds are triangular in shape and have a deeply lobed appearance. The new fronds emerge in the springtime and are a coppery red color. As the season progresses, the fronds mature and turn dark green. In the fall, the fronds turn a golden yellow color before they die back.

Planting : When planting in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost with added John Innes. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
