This is a semi-evergreen fern. Its feathery fronds emerge yellow-green, maturing to deep green, and are arranged in an upright rosette. Best grown in a shady position in a moist yet well drained soil.

• When planting this perennial in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If suitable for containers then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
