Digitalis x mertonensis, also known as Strawberry Foxglove, is a hybrid between Digitalis purpurea (common foxglove) and Digitalis grandiflora (purple foxglove). It is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows to a height of 2-3 feet. It has dark green leaves and produces spikes of large, strawberry-colored flowers in late spring and early summer. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies.

Planting : When Planting This Herbaceous Perennial In The Open Ground It Is Best Planted With A Mixture Of Your Garden Soil And A Good Quality Tree And Shrub Compost. If Planting In A Container We Recommend A Good Quality Multipurpose Or Peat Free Compost To Be Used. These Plants Should Be Fed In Spring And Late Summer With A Good Quality All Purpose Fertiliser.
