Digitalis x mertonensis, also known as Strawberry Foxglove, is a hybrid between Digitalis purpurea (common foxglove) and Digitalis grandiflora (purple foxglove). It is a herbaceous perennial plant that grows to a height of 2-3 feet. It has dark green leaves and produces spikes of large, strawberry-colored flowers in late spring and early summer. The flowers are fragrant and attract bees and butterflies.

Planting : When planting herbaceous perennials in the open ground we recommend planting with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality tree and shrub compost or peat free compost. If planting in a container we recommend a good quality multi purpose with added John Innes or peat free compost.
