Foxglove Digitalis lutea produces tall spikes of small lemon-yellow flowers, often with brown spotted throats. Cut back stems after first blooming to encourage additional flowering. Digitalis lutea is an evergreen perennial that is short-lived, so it should be frequently divided. Self sows and will naturalize if some seed stems are allowed to mature. CAUTION: All parts of this plant are toxic & may be fatal if ingested.
Digitalis lutea prefers part to full shade and is best in evenly moist, rich, organic soil. It tolerates some sun if soil is kept moist.
