Germination

The process of germination needs light. Use a disease-free, well-drained medium with a pH range of 5.8 to 6.2 Soil.

When sowing the seed, cover it with a medium layer of coarse-grade vermiculite. To germinate, it takes roughly three to four days.

Watering

Water this flowering plant twice a day during summers and once in two days during winters.

Temperature

It requires 18 to 20 degrees Celsius for germination.

In days and (15C) temperature at night are ideal for cotyledon emergence.

True leaf expansion occurs between 13C and 15C.

Light –

Plants should be exposed to the full sun, as Light is required for germination.

Fertilization

Vermicompost is suitable for dianthus. It can be given once every two months.
