Mounds of dark evergreen leaves bear long-lasting and fragrant purple flowers in spring with sporadic re-bloom in summer. It is much admired in the garden for its broad cushion form. 12″ tall and 24″ wide, dense and low to the ground, it successfully shades out weeds. Plant along a pathway, in the rock garden, and definitely close by for the wonderful fragrance.

Some Daphne can be a challenge to grow but well worth the effort. These are fickle creatures and not for the faint of heart. We send out healthy plants but can’t be responsible for other cultural requirements that are out of our control. Plant the rock Daphne in quick-draining soil and do not over-water them. Avoid watering during the heat of the day.
