Daphne odora, commonly known as winter daphne, is a species of flowering, evergreen shrub growing to 3-4 feet (1-1.2 m) tall by 2-3 feet (0.6-1 m) wide, with leathery leaves and clusters of fragrant pink flowers in late winter to early spring. The flowers are often followed by red berries. A beautiful and fragrant shrub that is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to any garden. It is also a great choice for planting in containers, as it can be easily moved around to enjoy the fragrance.

Planting: When planting this plant in the open ground it is best planted with a mixture of your garden soil and a good quality Tree and Shrub Compost. If planting in a container then we recommend John Innes No3 Compost or a good quality Multipurpose compost. These plants should be fed in Spring and late Summer with a good quality granular fertiliser.
